HOW WE MAKE IT HAPPEN
At Crosby Learning Solutions LLC, we work with parents, educators and healthcare professionals to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and developmental disabilities. We strive to help children reach their highest potential and function as independently as possible. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) work together with families as well as additional clinical team members to formulate an individualized treatment plan for every child. All therapists receive initial as well as ongoing training and are certified Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs.) Treatment takes place in the comfort of each child’s home. We approach all learning situations with compassion and kindness. Using this multi-faceted methodology, we form a team together with families that allows children to thrive.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Initially, we work with parents to determine a schedule that will work for your family. We know that many children are also enrolled in educational programs as well as other therapies as part of their treatment. To help families with scheduling, we offer extended hours such as evenings and weekends in addition to regular weekday sessions. Session length is based on client needs. Sessions can range from 2 hours to 6 hours including both a morning and afternoon session.
The next area we are able to assist with is health insurance navigation. We have helped many families through this process. We have specialists within our agency that are able to handle all aspects of this process. Starting with the initial benefits check, then to the assessment and treatment authorization requests, and finally claims submissions, we handle the entire process for you. When your plan may process a claim incorrectly or issue an erroneous denial, we fight for the client and advocate for this medically necessary treatment on your behalf. We do not want this to be a burden on families.
WHAT DOES TREATMENT LOOK LIKE
After the assessment team completes a thorough intake and an individualized assessment based on your child’s age and individual needs, our BCBA develops a treatment plan consisting of short as well as long term treatment goals. Input is gathered from families as well as they are an integral part of our team. Therapy is then delivered which includes ongoing data collection of all treatment goals.
Based on your child’s individual needs, we use various teaching methodologies including:
- Discrete Trial Training
- Natural Environment Teaching
- Verbal Behavior Training
- Social Skills Training
Using ongoing program evaluations as well as parent and caregiver training, we are able to use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach socially significant behaviors that are important to the child’s development. Our overall goals throughout treatment include developing meaningful behaviors in each child. We want to teach behaviors that are socially significant and that are also important to the family. Areas that we work to develop in each child include:
- Play Skills
- Language Development
- Social Skills
- Independent Living Skills
- Communication Skills
- Learning Readiness
- Behavioral Compliance
